our history
Jolly Ski
Jolly Ski was founded in the early 1990s from the dream of Claudio Benatti, Fedele Luzzeri, and Marco Bertini. For years, the club has been committed to organizing increasingly prestigious events, from European to World Championships, and the San Gervasio Pro Am—the only Italian stop of the Waterski Pro Tour and a hallmark event for all water skiing enthusiasts worldwide.
As the only facility in Lombardy specifically designed for this sport, the lake features a fully homologated slalom course, a jump ramp, two Malibu Boats, and cutting-edge technology such as ZeroOFF, Splash-Eye for jump measurement, and Sure-Path for driver tracking.

U21 European Championships
In August 2007, we hosted our first international championship event: the U21 Europeans. President Fedele Luzzeri and Technical Director Claudio Benatti celebrated the success of this major event, highlighted by the gold medal in slalom of home athlete Matteo Luzzeri.
Junior World Championships
In 2010, we hosted the Junior World Championships, an event still remembered today by athletes who have since turned professional. During the competition, two junior world records were broken, including Timmy Bradstreet’s 59.8m jump, which remains unbeaten to this day.

San Gervasio Pro Am
Jolly Ski continues to innovate and, in 2014, launched the first edition of the San Gervasio Pro Am, reigniting the flame of professional cash prize competitions in Europe. The San Gervasio Pro Am is now considered one of the most prestigious titles in the global professional water skiing scene.
Open European Championships
In 2023, after more than 30 years, the Open European Championships returned to Lombardy, marking the first international Open title event held in San Gervasio. Italian athletes achieved great success, including home athlete Nicholas Benatti, who claimed silver in tricks.
